Help 55 and 37
What cannot be bought, and what cannot be forwarded
Two separate lists sit between a listing and a parcel. One is Chinese export law, reproduced in full. The other is a shorter list of categories that specific destinations treat badly, and one of its four entries is the reason this page exists.

Home / Mail restrictions and sensitive categories
The flag appears before you reach the submit screen

Restricted items are marked in the warehouse list with a prohibited icon and a See why control beside the entry. That is earlier than most people expect, and it is the one piece of this subject with a visible interface attached.
The help text adds that the restriction is sometimes specific to the line rather than absolute, and that customer service can check whether a different line would accept the item. It is equally clear that the resulting risk is yours.
Forwarding Serviceupd 2023-07-10
In international logistics, there are strict restrictions on item categories. When your ordered items arrived at My Warehouse, if there are mail-restricted items, we will use the prohibited icon to mark them.
Two things follow from the wording. The check happens on arrival at the warehouse, so an item can be bought and paid for and only then be flagged. And the marking is per item, which is why one restricted thing can hold up a submission that is otherwise ready.
The outbound ban is law, not house policy

This list is not the operator's. It reproduces the prohibited import and export goods list under Chinese law, and the help article cites the regulation and the date it took effect. No agent can waive it and no line can route around it.
It reads as six categories, and most of them will never come near a clothing order. The sixth is the one that occasionally does, because plant material and animal products hide in craft and hobby orders.
- Weapons, simulation weapons, ammunition and explosives
- Forged currency and forged securities
- Printed matter, film, photographs, music, video, audio, video tapes, laser discs, computer storage medium and other articles harmful to the politics, economy, culture or morals of China
- A variety of potent poisons
- Opium, morphine, heroin, marijuana and other addictive drugs and psychotropic drugs
- Animals, plants and their products with dangerous bacteria, pests and other harmful organisms
A second, shorter list of things that are limited

Under the ban sits a quieter list of goods that are restricted rather than forbidden. Six entries on the export side, five on the import side.
Precious Chinese herbal medicines and general cultural relics are the two that catch people buying gifts. Radio transceivers appear on both lists, which is worth knowing if you buy hobby electronics.
- Gold, silver, valuable metals and ornaments thereof
- National currency
- Foreign currency and negotiable securities
- Radio transceiver and communication security machine
- Precious Chinese herbal medicines
- General cultural relics
Categories specific destinations treat badly

Help 37 lists categories that customs authorities seize more often, grouped in four lines. The third of those four lines is two words long and it is the reason people land on this domain.
Branded clothing is on the sensitive list. Not banned, not graded, just named as a category that gets looked at. Put that beside the counterfeit policy and you have the whole honest answer: the operator forbids counterfeit listings, and customs treats brand-name clothing as worth inspecting even when it is genuine.
The only hard number in these pages is for liquids, and it has two parts.
| Category | What the article names |
|---|---|
| Meat | cooked food |
| Electronics | mobile phones (with batteries), magnetic components, power bank |
| Clothing category | brand |
| Others | liquid, powder, compressed gas, gold and silver jewelry, diamonds, coins, antiques, controlled knives, plant seeds |
Read the third row in the operator's own words: "Clothing category: brand". The liquid rule beside it: "we can try to ship the parcel for you when the volume of a single bottled cosmetic product is equal to or below 100ml and the total volume for the parcel is no more than 200ml."
| Destination | What the article says |
|---|---|
| United Kingdom | Sensitive with importing beef, not suitable for mailing |
| Italy | Sensitive with importing leather shoes, not suitable for mailing |
| Australia | More sensitive with importing animal fur, wood products, seeds are not suitable for mailing |
| Japan | Sensitive with importing products made by animal leather or wood |
Things to check before you order

Five checks, each of which is cheaper to do now than to argue about later.
Check the item against the sensitive list before you pay, not after it reaches the warehouse. Check whether your destination is one of the four named by country. Check liquid volumes against both halves of the rule, the bottle and the parcel. Check whether the thing you are buying can still be returned, because tags and packaging removed puts it outside the window. And check who carries the risk, because the operator states that plainly.
Shopping Agent Serviceupd 2026-10-10
The logistics services for the shopping agent products are provided by third-party logistics providers. They are restricted to the customs policy and there might be logistics risks. You need to consider the risks as you will be responsible for them.
The same page sets the limit of the relationship earlier, in a service description that says the operator is not responsible for risks associated with products from third-party merchants.
Neither sentence is unusual for the trade. Both are worth reading before a first order rather than after a seized one. The claims route, when it applies, is on the cover page.
