Destination requirements: check duty, VAT and route limits separately
A historical agent table is useful background, but it cannot establish the current taxes or classification rules for your parcel. Check your destination’s customs guidance and the actual route before submitting.
The search above runs against the product catalogue if that is what you came for.
Home / Tariff thresholds by destination
Tax thresholds need a current customs check
The previous guide reproduced a Superbuy article updated in May 2025, including malformed currency entries. That table should not be used as a current tax calculator. Duty, VAT or sales tax and carrier clearance charges can follow different rules.
Check the destination customs authority for the goods’ classification, value basis and applicable taxes. Save the invoice and route terms, and ask the agent how any prepaid charge is handled. A line advertised with a tax-related name is not itself evidence that every charge is included.
Canada: separate the route limit from the tax bill
A delivery address includes a province or territory, which may affect applicable taxes. A low declared-value cap in an agent’s route table is a carrier condition, not permission to understate the goods’ value.
Use current Canadian customs guidance for the shipment type, origin, value and destination. Confirm brokerage or clearance charges with the selected route; do not copy a historical example into your budget.
Personal parcel or commercial shipment
There is no universal “under 10 kg means personal” rule. Customs can consider the goods, quantity, value, purpose and destination requirements. An agent’s packing recommendation does not settle the legal classification.
Declare accurately, keep purchase records and ask for guidance if you are buying repeated items for resale. Splitting an order does not automatically change its purpose or remove taxes.
Route notices are where a destination actually changes

Help articles carry an update date but they change slowly. The announcements feed is where a destination moves in practice, and each entry is dated. Six entries from the feed read on 2026-10-10 touch this subject directly.
- · Notice on Temporary Suspension of Knife/Blade Item Shipments
- · Notice on Resumption of China Post EU-Route Services and New Shipping Regulations
- · Notice on Tariff Rate Adjustment for China Post U.S.-Bound Routes
- · Notice on China Post Middle East Route Services
- · Price Adjustment for Duty-Free Air Mail (General Cargo) and EU & US Air Freight Dedicated Line (General)
- · Notice on Resumption of EMS & EUB Services to the EU and New Shipping Regulations
Two patterns are worth noticing. Routes are suspended and resumed as a unit, so a line that worked for a friend last month may not exist this month. And tariff adjustments are announced per route and per destination, not globally, which is another reason the line and the country have to be read as a pair.
